About the Principal

Will Kaydos has over thirty years experience as a manager, executive, and consultant in a variety of industries. As President of the manufacturing division for a $160,000,000 corporation, he developed the organization and management systems for a manufacturing facility that was internationally recognized as the best in its industry. As CFO, he implemented planning, budgeting and measurement systems that established accountability, improved management visibility, and reduced general and administrative costs 20%.

Performance measurement is a key element of his management philosophy. As Will says: “If you don’t measure it, you can’t understand it, manage it, or improve it.” His latest book, Operational Performance Measurement: Increasing Total Productivity presents a new and powerful approach for improving the performance of any business activity. Selected as one of the top ten business books in 1999 by Management General, it covers both the technical and organizational aspects of performance measurement.

He is also the author of Measuring, Managing, and Maximizing Performance, which addresses the critical role performance measurement plays in increasing productivity and quality. It has been called one of the best books about quality improvement by business leaders such as Bob Galvin, Chairman of Motorola; Jack Stack, President of Springfield ReManufacturing; and Tom Gelb, VP of Harley-Davidson.

A recognized authority on performance measurement and quality improvement, he frequently speaks at universities and professional associations. Will has an MBA from the Wharton School, a BS from Clarkson University, and has been an Examiner for the North Carolina Quality Leadership Award.
